J·Vicius Botanical Reserve began with two things that have been part of my life for as long as I can remember: an interest in building something of my own and a fascination with plants and nature.

I had been looking for botanical skincare and wellness products made with simple, natural ingredients, but I wasn't finding quite what I was looking for. The idea for J·Vicius really began while I was working at a botanical extraction laboratory, where I had the opportunity to see and operate a commercial ethanol extraction process firsthand.

That experience made me curious about what else could be created from botanical extracts. I started wondering what different plant extracts, roots, flowers, fruits, and tree resins looked like on their own and whether they could be transformed into simple, enjoyable botanical skincare and wellness products. At the time, it was something I hadn't really seen being done in the way I envisioned.

From Extracts to Formulations

I eventually found a botanical extraction company producing laboratory grade extracts from more than 70 different plants, fruits, roots, flowers, and tree resins. I partnered with them and began experimenting with my own finish products.

For a long time, I tested different combinations and formulations, paying attention to everything from aroma and texture and plant properties to how each formula felt on the skin. Through that process, J·Vicius began developing its own collection of proprietary recipes—formulations that have since become customer favorites.

We currently focus on botanical balms because they offer a simple, practical way to work with concentrated extracts. They are easy to store, have a long shelf life, and I love the way a balm melts into an oil as it warms against the skin, leaving it feeling nourished while allowing the botanical blend to become part of the experience.

Simple by Design

Our philosophy is simple: let the plants do the talking.

J·Vicius is inspired by the simplicity of traditional botanical formulations, combined with a modern laboratory perspective. We aren't interested in adding ingredients simply for the sake of making a longer ingredient list. We want each ingredient to have a reason for being there.

We focus on small-batch formulations, distinctive botanical extracts, concentrated resins, and ingredients that aren't always easy to find. The goal is to create products that feel refined without losing the character of the plants themselves.

Building the Reserve

J·Vicius is being built from the ground up. I develop the products and formulations myself, with the help of my husband and business partners, and every stage of the process is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and improve.

What began as curiosity has grown into a small luxury botanical brand centered around exploration and simplicity.

Balms are only the beginning. As J·Vicius grows, we plan to expand into infused oils, honeys, soaps, and other botanical wellness products—always with the same focus on thoughtful formulations, interesting ingredients, and small-batch production.

We are constantly searching for unusual extracts, concentrates, resins, and botanicals to bring into the Reserve.
